Golden amber in color, it offers an expressive noseof dried figs, plum, cinnamon and caramel that mingle with mature flavors of toasted hazelnut, saddle leather and chocolate.
Touches of nail polish remover and boiled cabbage prick the olfactory sense to attention; later passes detect more well-rounded, almost fat, aromas of almond and lanolin. There’s a rush of fatty butter flavor at palate entry, then at midpalate the flavor includes oak, black raisins and dark caramel. Aftertaste is thick, long and sweet.
