DUJAC MOREY SAINT DENIS 2018 |
Dujac wines are neither filtered nor fined and all of his premiers and grands crus are aged in 100% new oak. These are wines of the very highest order.
An appealingly layered nose reveals notes of various red berries, especially cherry, along with floral and warm earth nuances. The succulent, round and delicious middle weight flavors that culminate in a moderately firm and youthfully austere finale. This is sufficiently supple on the mid-palate that it could actually be approached on the younger side.
The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has turned out beautifully in bottle, wafting from the glass with a complex bouquet of orange rind, plums, peonies, cinnamon and other warm spices. Medium to full-bodied, ample and velvety, it's perfumed and enveloping, with supple tannins and a long, saline finish.
