Notes: Deep Eddy Vodka Distillery takes its name from South Texas' Deep Eddy Pool, the oldest spring-fed swimming pool in Texas. This is significant, as the label uses water from an aquifer deep beneath the earth in Texas. Vodka is made from corn and is put through a continuous, column still nine 10 times, and is then filtered over charcoal six times. The vodka is made from corn, which is gluten free for those with sensitivities, or with discerning tastes.
If you're in Austin, you can visit the 5,000-square foot tasting room and 30,000 square foot distillery. Deep Eddy Vodka is available outside of the Austin distillery and can be conveniently shipped to your from WineChateau.com. Mixed drink possibilities are endless. Some of the recommended mixes include Lucy's Lemonade, which is Deep Eddy Vodka, fresh lemonade, club soda and lemon garnish. The Austin Mule is Deep Eddy Vodka, lime juice, ginger beer and lime garnish.
