DESCRIPTION
Giulio Cocchi first made this in 1891, and the company brought the original recipe back in 2011. Moscato from around Asti, flavoured with cinchona bark and rhubarb among other herbs, and coloured with sugar burnt over a flame rather than vanilla. Bronze with red glints, orange peel, chocolate, cinnamon and menthol on the nose, then liquorice, orange zest, rhubarb and cocoa. Bittersweet quinine finish. The vermouth that started the category's revival. Half bottle.
