Chateau Tour Bel Air Montagne Saint Emilion 2018 |
Located 5km north of the town of Saint-Emilion, it is a delight to have found this delicious wine from the satellite appellation of Montagne-Saint-Emilion. 70% Merlot brings juiciness of fruit, the 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc contribute complexity of perfume and brightness of mouthfeel to the blend. This is an elegant, full-yet-lively, cherry and cassis scented wine. The finish is supple, bouncy and refreshing.
Managed by Bruno Laporte, whose family owns two other chateaux in Bordeaux, Chateau de Clotte and Chateau du Cauze, the grapes forf Chateau Tour Bel-Air, in the satellite region of Montagne-Saint-Emilion are fermented in concrete vats, then 25% of the cuvée matures in oak barrels for a year while the balance ages in tanks before being blended and rested prior to bottling.
