DESCRIPTION
Chateau La Lagune is a Third Growth in the 1855 classification, in Ludon at the southern end of the Haut-Medoc, close to the city of Bordeaux. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
2015 was a strong vintage on the Left Bank, and critics scored this wine in the low to mid 90s. Expect a Cabernet-led Medoc with dark fruit and firm, fine tannins, now ten years old and starting to drink well. For a classified growth, the price is very fair.
Decant it for an hour and serve at 60-64F in a large red wine glass. Pour it with roast lamb, prime rib, duck confit or mushroom dishes.
