Château Donissan LISTRAC-MÉDOC 2016 |
This AOC extends over nearly 700 hectares, to the north of the Moulis en Médoc appellation. The wines of this appellation benefit from the Bordeaux climate but also from a soil made of gravel, typical of the region. This communal AOC authorizes all the historic Bordeaux grape varieties, allowing blends grouping côt, carménère, cabernets francs and sauvignons as well as merlot. These are fine wines, marked by the sands of the soil, which develop an intense aroma as well as an often muscular and fleshy mouth. The wines of the appellation are perhaps intended for the aperitif, but can also accompany without any problem a main course, based on meat and sauce.
