A first growth from a vintage Bordeaux waited a long time for. Deep garnet, with red and black currant preserves, warm plum, mulberry and kirsch, then leather, cigar box and menthol. Medium bodied and firmly structured, with the freshness that marks Lafite and a long earthy finish. It was backward on release and rewards patience. This is the six-bottle case.
