Beaulieu Vineyard, or BV, is one of Napa Valley's founding wineries, established in 1900 in Rutherford. The Rutherford Reserve comes from the western Rutherford benchland, one of the best stretches of Napa for Cabernet Sauvignon.
Expect intensely saturated color and flavor. A perfumed bouquet of wild dark berries, crushed earth and toasty oak spice, then a full palate with ripe fruit and the dusty texture Rutherford is famous for. It's classic Napa Cabernet.
Decant it for an hour and serve around 62-64F. It's made for ribeye, prime rib, lamb chops and aged cheddar. A dependable bottle for a steak dinner or a gift for someone who loves Napa Cabernet. BV's long history in Rutherford is a big part of why the area is so famous for Cabernet today.
