Domaine Blain-Gagnard was formed in 1980 when Jean-Marc Blain married Claudine Gagnard, and the nine hectares at Chassagne-Montrachet include several of the Cote de Beaune's best sites. New oak is used carefully. The 2021 Batard shows ripe quince and melon with acacia flower and spice, dense and rich in texture but kept lively by the acidity of the year.
