DESCRIPTION
Glaetzer is a family winery in the Barossa Valley in South Australia, and Bishop is its Shiraz. The Barossa is Australia's best-known home for the grape, with old vines and a warm, dry climate. This is the 2017 vintage.
It's a complex red with a core of black fruits, and there's more going on than just ripeness. Expect blackberry and plum, mineral and graphite notes and earthy hints, with soft, smooth tannins.
Serve it around 62-64F in a large red wine glass. It's good with grilled steak, barbecued ribs, lamb or a hard cheese, and easy enough to share with friends. A solid Barossa Shiraz at a fair price.
