Bertani Valpolicella Ripasso 2014

85% corvina 5% rondinella 10% merlot chosen to soften the blend, medium plus body with grat structure, medium soft tannins, high acidity.

Eye: Dark cherry. Nose: cherry, raspberry and chocolate. Palate: very mouthful, lots of cherry taste, enough tannic and spicy.

Delicate, but there's a good core of cherry and berry, with a compact, silky underlay of light spice, vanilla and mineral that gives good length. Fresh, clean and easy to drink.

Hugely refined notes of cinnamon, peppercorn, cherry and cranberry. On the palate it is the red fruit which hits first followed by the pepper and cinnamon, with a hint of liquorice too. The deep black cherry flavour gives it a wonderful roundness and the savouries ensure a balanced and smooth finish.
