The vineyards selected for the beringer classics wines are bathed in warm sunshine the majority of the day to yield the most ripe sun-kissed fruit flavors in the grapes. Winemaking notes to achieve the perfect color in the white merlot the wine making team gently de-stems and presses the merlot grapes leaving the red skins in contact with the juice for approximately three hours. As soon as the desired soft red purple hue is achieved the juice is removed. Slow cool fermentations follow to retain the bright acidity fresh melon and citrus flavors. Tasting notes this varietal’s rich blackberry and raspberry aromas and flavors are expressed beautifully. There are hints of orange peels with a hint of nutmeg spice.
