I am not an alcohol drinker but is for my medicinal/stomach and it does help.

It is my favorite drink. Exposed to it during a visit to Chez Republic in year 2000. A lot of my friends like it as well. An ounce or two just before bed is great.

Hard to find but is much better than Jagermeister

I'm originaly from Slovakia so I'm very familiar with the liquor. I like it very much. Many of my friends who I offered the drink love it. I suggest drinking cold as a shot.

Most Czechs drink it cold as a sipping shot. The most common alternative, and the way I prefer it, is Becherovka and tonic (called Beton, which is amusing to Czechs because beton means concrete" in Czech). Becherovka and apple juice and Becherovka and orange juice are also good. See becherovka.com for more options. "

This is a favorite in our house. Always a pleasure to drink, especially in colder weather. We prefer to drink it chilled, and do not mind pouring it over ice if we didn't plan far enough ahead. However, it is also very pleasing to drink at room temperature.

We use this purely medicinally as the perfect cure for upset stomach and intestinal problems. Works every time. It was recommended to me in Prague instead of a traditional medicine - everyone who had it was fine within hours, not so for the rest who went with modern cures. We always have a bottle on hand.

My husbands family is from Slovakia so it was good to find. We too use it as a medicine, but that doesn't exclude the occasional shot.
