Barrelhead Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Barrelhead Wine Company is a collaboration between Chris Corley, iconic winemaker at his family winery Monticello Vineyards, and his wife Jules Melange. Jules started fifteen years ago in vineyard research for Opus One and went on to work as a viticulturist for Williams Selyem, Hourglass Vineyards, and many other prestigious vineyards in Napa and Sonoma.

This 2016 Barrelhead Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Single Vineyard Designate Heinemann Mountain Vineyard on Spring Mountain, which is all sustainably farmed. Only 124 cases of this 100% Cabernet Sauvignon were made. The wine was aged in 100% French Oak, roughly 30% new and the rest 1-2 year old, for 18 months before bottling.
