Avenue to Gold has the tenacity to go far. Lifted, aromatic, fresh, its premium fruit sees a life at least a decade into the future. Aged in concrete to best express that pure fruit, grown at altitude, it begins with a powerful aroma of dark forest fruits, tobacco, and dried herbs.
On the palate, for now at least, cassis and graphite minerality dance before evolving into a savoury collage of charcuterie and black pepper. More than a little reminiscent of those distant Rhône cousins.
