• 100% Barbera grown across three sites: Castagnole, Montegrosso d'Asti, and Costigliole where the Bionzo vineyard is located • 40-year-old vines on average • Vines planted south facing at 300 meters to calcareous soil • Harvested during the last week of September to early October • Fermentation maceration for 10 days on average • Aged 12 months in a mix of new and mainly used, medium toasted French oak barrique, plus 6 months in bottle • 5,800 cases produced annually
