DESCRIPTION
Albert Bichot is a Burgundy family house founded in 1831 and based in Beaune. Origines is its Bourgogne Chardonnay, made from many vineyard plots across Burgundy on clay and limestone soils.
About 80% of the wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel and about 20% in oak barrels, all on fine lees for 9 to 11 months. Expect citrus fruit and white flowers, opening into notes of honey and dried fruit, with a lively, rounded palate. It is a clean, well-made white Burgundy and a sensible everyday bottle.
Serve it at 50-54F in a white wine glass. It pairs well with grilled fish, shellfish, roast chicken and goat cheese.
