Zelo Garnacha 2015 |
This is one wine that will disappear before you know it!
Spain is the world’s third largest wine producer behind France and Italy, largely due to low yields caused by wide spacing of old vines and dry, infertile soil in many of Spain’s wine regions
Appearance: Ruby/purple-colored wine. Aroma: Offers finesse and elegance in addition to moderately intense aromas of spice box, licorice, plums and subtle oak.
Flavor: Rich with velvety tannins, exceptional purity, balance and length. Pairings: Pasta, middle aged cheeses, sausages, grilled meat of all kinds, barbecue and stews.
Although Spain has more than 400 grape varieties, approximately 80% of the country’s wine production comes from just 20 grapes. Very rustic and rich in tradition, Spain is known for its many variations of Sherry, as well as Cava, a sparkling wine made in the traditional method of Champagne. Major Spanish wine regions include the Rioja and Ribera del Duero, Jerez, Rias Baixas, and Priorat.
