Lovely dark amber, light magahony color with aromas of molasses, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, coconut, oak, orange peel and cocoa. On the palate, the Zaya is smooth with an almost oily textures and shows flavors of baked apple, baked pear, caramel, butterscotch, vanilla, sweet orange, cherry. The finish is long with coconut and oak notes.
Dark brown rum distilled from fermented molasses. Aged 12 years in used whisky and bourbon barrels. A fine example of an aged rum blended from rums aged in medium toasted oak barrels. Dominant notes of sweet vanilla, chocolate and coffee in a rich body with a slightly smoky flavor in the finish.
