Domaine Weinbach is one of the great family estates of Alsace, run by the Faller family in Kaysersberg around the walled Clos des Capucins. This is its Pinot Blanc Réserve from 2022.
Alsace Pinot Blanc is the region's easygoing, food-friendly white. Expect white peach, pear and apple, a touch of honey and almond, a round, soft texture and a fresh finish. It is dry, gentle and very easy to drink. It is the kind of white Alsatians drink at the table every day, and it shows why.
Serve it chilled, around 48-50F. It goes with almost anything: quiche, tarte flambée, roast chicken, pork, fish or a cheese board. A great everyday white from a top producer.
