Brilliant pale gold with shimmering clear highlights. An elegant and beautifully layered nose that showcases the complexity of its diverse terroir. Crisp green apple; ripe pear; and citrus zest are backed by a distinct; stony mineral backbone from the limestone and schist soils. The partial barrel fermentation introduces gentle; integrated undertones of toasted hazelnut; vanilla cream; and a touch of fresh brioche without overpowering the fruit. Broad and textured on the palate; showing excellent concentration and weight driven by the old-vine fruit. Full malolactic fermentation lends a round; creamy mid-palate; which is perfectly counterbalanced by a vibrant; limestone-driven acidity. Flavors of white peach; lemon curd; and a subtle saline minerality lead into a long; focused; and sophisticated finish with a whisper of sweet spice.
