Veuve Clicquot's rosé starts from the house's Brut blend, with some still red Pinot Noir added for color and fruit. This is the 1.5L magnum.
It's creamy and fresh, with ripe strawberry, white peach and a little ground ginger, framed by bright acidity and a zesty finish. Fruity, but dry, and a little fuller than the Yellow Label Brut thanks to the red wine.
A magnum is the right bottle for a party: it pours about twelve glasses and looks generous on the table. Serve it cold, around 45F. It's good with salmon, sushi, charcuterie or strawberries, and a sure hit at a wedding or a big birthday.
