Ultimate Beverage Challenge 95 points - Aromas of spiced apples and leather are bold. The palate starts silky smooth with cinnamon raisin, pastry and moderate campfire smoke. The texture turns somewhat grainy and finishes with salted caramel and earthy complexity.
The XXV is a batch-produced whisky finished in individually selected ex-sherry butts. Oloroso-soaked oak imparts a nutty spiciness and enriches the flavor. Each cask is monitored to ensure the subtlest sherry tones are added to this silky and elegant whisky.
