A slightly spiced nose is reminiscent of cinnamon, with undertones of green moss. In the mouth it starts out subtle, with soft grain flavors that develop into deep complexity. Flavors of roasted earth, charred coffee bean and toasted barley are strong and long lasting. 

The Dalmore Scotch Single Malt Cigar Malt Reserve-Wine Enthusiast 95 points 

 Aged in a series of barrels-first American oak, then transferred to a former oloroso Sherry cask and finished in used Cabernet Sauvignon barriques-this Scotch would be an outstanding dessert accompaniment too. Look for dusty cocoa and lots of Sherried dark fruit, like figs and dates, wrapped in caramel and baking tones that linger on the spicy finish..Kara Newman, December/2015
