This wine is from Portugal, Port region. Bright, ripe, crushed red berry and plum fruit flavors mark this lively, direct young port, which is sweetly silky on the palate and supported by a crisp acidic backbone and soft background tannins. Fortified PORT BLEND WineIntegrated flavors of sweet, ripe red berry fruit and distinct impressions of toasty almonds converge in this crisp, direct young port, carrying into silky, supple tannins and a fresh, mellow finish.Taylor’s Fine Ruby Port is blended from red wines produced in the Baixo Corgo and Cima Corgo areas of the upper Douro Valley, selected for their depth of color, intense fruit and full, firm palate. These port wines are matured for about three years in oak vats, where they soften and develop without losing their fresh, intense fruity character and their deep ruby color. Taylor’s Fine Ruby is bottled for immediate drinking and makes the perfect partner for a dark chocolate mousse, or a cheeseboard.
