• Single barrel straight bourbon whiskey produced by Nashville Barrel Company in Nashville, Tennessee • Bottled exclusively for Skurnik Wines & Spirits • Barrel #5048 • Distilled at an undisclosed distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky • Mash bill of 78% corn, 10% rye, and 12% malted barley • Aged 5 years in new American oak; 4 years in Kentucky and 1 year in Nashville, Tennessee • Non-chill filtered; bottled at a cask strength of 59.82% ABV “Private Barrel #5048 punches well above its five years. The nose pops with caramel corn, orange peel, honeycomb, and toasted oak. On the palate, peanut brittle, cornbread, and cocoa come through with red fruit and spice, leading to a long finish of chocolate-dipped orange and roasted nuts.
