This Sauvignon Blanc comes from Stags Leap in Napa Valley, a name better known for Cabernet. Napa Sauvignon Blanc tends to be riper and rounder than the Loire or New Zealand styles, and this one leans into fruit.
Fragrant lemongrass, passion fruit, papaya and tangerine on the nose. The palate is bright and fresh, with a flavorful finish of guava, citrus and honeysuckle. It's lively but not sharp.
Serve it well chilled, around 45-48F. It's made for seafood: fish ceviche, crab cakes or grilled oysters with mignonette. Also good with goat cheese salads and Thai dishes. An easy crowd-pleaser for summer and for anyone who likes their whites tropical.
