Seven Hills Merlot Walla Walla Valley 2016

The aromas are vibrant, with notes of raspberry jam, mortared herb and black licorice. The palate is full flavored, but still fresh, with the tannins giving a tight grip out of the gate, loosening with some time open. The stuffing is beautiful. Give it some time to settle in. 

The aromas are light and a bit difficult to tease out initially, with notes of cedar box, green pepper, spice and raspberry. Light but juicy fruit flavors follow, with the tannins giving a firm, slightly astringent squeeze. It intrigues, but the variety seems difficult to find.

Boysenberry, sweet black cherry, clove on the nose. The palate is soft and lush with black cherry and spice with a refreshing bright undertone.
