DESCRIPTION
Schloss Vollrads has been selling wine since 1211 and plants nothing but Riesling on its 200 acres above the Rhine. Spatlese means late picked, so there is real sweetness here, but it is balanced against the acidity rather than sitting on top of it. White blossom and lemon on the nose, then white peach and grapefruit, light on the palate with a zesty lime finish. It will age for years.
