A Williams pear eau de vie from the Alfred Schladerer distillery in the Black Forest, distilled in copper pot stills and bottled clear at 40 percent, with no wood, sugar or flavouring. Bright and crystalline on the nose: fresh Bartlett pear, pear skin and blossom with a faint herbal spice. Dry and aromatic on the palate with a peppery edge and a clean, lingering finish.
