Château Canadel is a red from the south of France with some age already on it. The 2018 has had a few years in bottle, which is when wines like this start to show their more savory side.
It's bold and structured. Expect rich, ripe fruit with earthy notes, coffee beans and wet leather. It's elegant for its size and still has potential to develop. A good year, and it shows.
Open it an hour ahead and serve around 62F. It's made for grilled lamb, beef stew, roast meats and hard cheeses. A good choice for a dinner where you want a red with depth and character rather than just fruit.
