Ricciolo is a playful but very serious Toscana IGT red wine from the Ricci (Montalcino) family farm. It is a great choice for those who want a Tuscan-style wine, combining the elegance and bright taste of the Sangiovese grape with the spiciness and richer texture provided by the Syrah grape.
This duo creates a wine that is fruity, warm, robust, yet maintains an Italian balance - it is not overloaded, but harmoniously "constructed" so that it is both enjoyable on its own and ideal with food.
The aroma is red berries (cherries, raspberries), light spice and herb tones. The taste is dry, medium-bodied - full-bodied, with pleasant tannins and a long, slightly spicy aftertaste. This is the kind of wine that many people like, but at the same time has a distinctive, "Tuscan" backbone.
Very versatile and especially suitable for: steaks and grills, stews, game, mature cheeses, Tuscan cuisine (raguù, pasta with meat, meat appetizers).
