Decanter 91 points - After a severe grape-thinning and early de-leafing to give air and sunlight to the grapes, San Polo waited
until mid-October to harvest. They also reduced the maturation time in wood, ageing the wine in larger casks rather than the
smaller tonneaux that they typically use. The result displays some shy aromas of dried lavender, mint and spice, with greater
depth on the palate. The fruit is round yet firmly framed by grape rather than wood tannins..April/2019

Easy Order for Mediocre Wine

The case of wine had a rather long delay until it came through packaged well. The brunello di Montalcino was a disappointment as it was not as flavorful as many brunellos I've had.
