• Practicing Biodynamic • 100% Pinot Noir • Horseshoe Vineyard (Santa Cruz Mountains AVA) • Planted in 2004 • Vines are a mix of 13 clones • Elevation is between 1,360 - 1,610 ft • Soil is Monterey formation sedimentary shale with intermingled limestone • Hand-harvested • Native yeast fermentation • 5 day cold soak before fermentation • Foot trodden twice a day during fermentation • Aged 18 months in 30% new French oak and for 15 months, the wine was aged on its lees • 13.7% ABV
