DESCRIPTION
• A blend of Nebbiolo (65%) and Barbera from the Bionzo vineyard in Neive planted in 1975 (35%) • Calcareous soils • Harvested in the middle to end of September, the Nebbiolo in the beginning to middle of October • Each variety fermented separately for 14-15 days in temperature-controlled rotofermenters • Aging in French barrique (20% new, medium toast) for 16-18 months • The two wines are blended together and transferred to stainless steel vats for 2 months, plus 3 months in bottle • 650 cases produced annually
