This listing is sold by the case: six 750ml bottles. Paolo Calì is a producer in Vittoria, in southeastern Sicily, home of Cerasuolo di Vittoria, the island's only DOCG red.
Cerasuolo di Vittoria is a blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato. Nero d'Avola gives dark fruit and body, Frappato adds red cherry, flowers and freshness. Expect cherry and plum, a touch of spice and soft, approachable tannins. It's a red you can drink slightly cool.
Serve it around 58-62F in a red wine glass. It's great with pizza, pasta with tomato sauce, grilled tuna or swordfish, and Sicilian caponata. Having a case on hand makes sense for a wine this easy to pour.
