DESCRIPTION
The Alvarez family, who own Vega Sicilia, founded Tokaj-Oremus in 1993 to bring the classic Hungarian sweet wines back. Waxed lemon, honeyed pineapple, apricot and marmalade, then nectarine, quince and candied orange peel over a dense, velvety palate. The acidity is what makes it: it carries the sweetness and keeps the whole thing fresh. Very long, with a mineral edge from the volcanic soil.
