DESCRIPTION
Nicosia is a Sicilian winery on the slopes of Mount Etna, and Monte Gorna is its organic Etna Bianco. White Etna is made mostly from Carricante, grown in volcanic soils at altitude.
Expect a crisp, mineral white: citrus, green apple and white flowers, with a salty, stony edge and bright acidity. Etna whites are known for that freshness, and it's what makes them so good with food. It's light enough for lunch but has enough character for dinner.
Serve it cold, around 48-50F, in a white wine glass. Pair it with grilled fish, shellfish, pasta with clams or fresh cheeses. A great find for someone bored of Pinot Grigio, at a very fair price.
