96 Points The Sommelier The Malanotte del Piave DOCG is the highest expression of Raboso del Piave and its territory: austere, full-bodied and very fragrant wine, ruby red in color tending to garnet. At the end it releases very elegant and complex fragrances with hints of marasca and cherry that then deepen also spicy hints of pepper, licorice. Remember cocoa and berries.
93. Points James Suckling "Malanotte" has its roots in a suggestive small village on the banks of Piave river. Popular tradition says that, during the night hours, the village came alive with female figures, furtive presences and clandestine meetings, creating an atmosphere of mystery and sin.
