Lunetta (a sLittle Moona t in Italian) celebrates lifea s small pleasures. The grapes are handpicked and vinified at Cavita s state-of-the-art sparkling wine facility in the northern Italian region of Trentino, at the largest facility in Italy dedicated exclusively to producing world-class sparkling wines.Enticing aromas of apple and peach give way to a palate that is refreshing, and harmonious, with crisp fruit flavors and a clean finish.Lunetta Prosecco is delightful as an aperitif or enjoyed with antipasti, hors da oeuvres, sushi, shellfish and seafood.

Delightful as an aperitif or enjoyed with antipasti, hors d'oeuvres, sushi, shellfish and seafood.Grapes handpicked and vinified using the Italian Charmat method, with temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel and secondary fermentation in sealed tanks for 30 days. The wine is then promptly bottled and released.
Prosecco is Italy’s famous version of sparkling wine (the type of wine made famous by Champagne). This Cavit Lunetta Prosecco comes from the Trentino region of Northeast Italy. Like Cava from Spain, Italian Prosecco is a budget option to French Champagne.

This particular Prosecco is the sweetest of the four mini bottles of sparkling wine I reviewed in this series. The first thing I noticed about it was all the bubbles – it had far more bubbles than the Cava or French sparkler I reviewed, and they lasted forever! It has sweet scents of honey and tropical melon that could pass for a jolly rancher. The flavors are slightly sweet tropical flavors with a stale/yeasty aftertaste that doesn’t merge well with the sweet fruit flavors. It has low acidity, light body (11% alcohol), and a short finish. It was the fruitiest of the four wines I reviewed, and better than the Sofia in a can, but not as good as the Cava or French sparkler (although fruitier than both). \n
