DESCRIPTION

Montmain exudes a combination of ripe, candied flavors and fresher saline notes: spicy floral aromas, toasted almonds, candied lemon and apple. The palate is lively, chalky, pure, and accessible, with no artifice.

The 2018 Chablis Montmain 1er Cru is slightly earthier on the nose at first, opening up to reveal delicate pressed flower scents and a touch of melted wax. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, a little pithier than Michel’s other cuvées, and quite saline toward the finish. Very fine.
