The Laphroaig 27 Years Limited Edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the continuation of Laphroaig s particularly old bottlings, which have been released since 2015 and which began in 2015 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary with a 32 Years. With this extraordinary Islay Single Malt, which was matured in ex-Bourbon Hogsheads and to intensify the flavours even further, in First-Fill Bourbon barrels and small Refill Quarter Casks in Warehouse No. 1, and bottled in March 2017 without the addition of dyes and cooling filtration in cask strength at 41.7% Vol. in an edition of 7.542 bottles. 

The 27 years of maturation make this Islay Single Malt an exclusive, peaty whisky and a typical Laphroaig, which has an incredibly rich aroma profile due to its long storage on the shores of the Atlantic and the hand-selected barrels. This Double Matured Single Malt is pure elegance from Laphroaig and the presentation is done in an exclusive wooden box with a relief of the distillery. A special single malt for connoisseurs, lovers and collectors of first-class Scotch whiskies.

To make this exquisite liquid, mature Laphroaig previously aged in refill hogsheads was transferred into first-fill ex-bourbon barrels and refill quarter casks. Patiently aged in Laphroaig’s famous Warehouse No. 1, these casks were then hand selected for a final maturation. This rare whisky features a touch of Laphroaig’s trademark peat smoke tempered by lime and sea salt.
