DESCRIPTION

Vivid notes of plum tart and cinnamon play on the nose. On the palate, the intense sweetness is carried by lovely, tart and welcomed freshness. There is something tingling about this, and a lovely, tart, alluring bitterness.

All is here in a totally compact, fresh, sweet package of surprising intensity. The finish lasts and lasts.

Not the listed wine.

I ordered this wine from Wine Chateau about 2 months ago now. Bought about 20 bottles, because it's one of my favourites. Unfortunately, the wine that they have in stock is not actually the Kracher zweigelt beerenauslese pictured, but a different Kracher auslese (different bottle, different size, different general palate).

I noted the difference to Wine Chateau, and they said that I could try a bottle of this other wine, and if I didn't like it, I could return it, but that they didn't have the wine that I'd ordered in stock, so I'd need to go elsewhere to purchase it. Which was fine.
Tried a bottle. It was okay, but I wasn't going to drink 20 of them (or even 4, really; I need to really like a wine for something like that).
I let them know as much, and they said that they would send return labels.
A day or so later, they let me know that they had sent return labels via Fedex. There was no email from fedex, which I let them know. When they persisted, I figured that maybe they printed out actual PDFs and fedexed them to me, because there's really no way that they could not figure out how to email me a file, right?
No labels ever arrived.
After a week or so, I reached back out.
They spent most of the next two weeks claiming to have sent return labels. No labels ever arrived.
After several attempts to get them to send labels, I submitted a request to my credit card to void the transaction.
Upon hearing this, Wine Chateau sent a message with a link to shipping labels that had already expired.
I noted this, and they haven't responded since.
Still waiting on my card to reverse this charge. Will probably throw out the wine or give it away when that is done.

I can recommend the wine listed here, but I can't recommend the wine that Wine Chateau will mail you if you order this. It just isn't as good as the wine listed here.
