Kathryn Hall is the top Cabernet Sauvignon from Hall Wines in Napa Valley, the winery's best blend each year. The Sacrashe vineyard, high on a hillside in Rutherford, is the foundation of the wine.
It's a big, polished Napa Cabernet. Expect blackberry, cassis and dark cherry, with mocha, cedar and baking spice, and firm, fine tannins. It's built to age, and air brings out more layers.
Decant it for an hour and serve around 62-65F in a large glass. It's made for a ribeye, rack of lamb or aged cheddar. A serious bottle for a celebration or a collector's cellar. It will keep improving for 15 years or more.
