J-L & F Chavy Puligny-Montrachet 2020

Lovely nose of sliced yellow apple, pear, apricot, crushed stone and mint.  On the palate, classic Puligny energy and cut with a big burst of citrus and stone fruit, hint of buttered hazelnuts, and loads of stony minerality and light hints of crushed mint.  Starts off really vibrant and zesty and very Puligny and gains richness, sweetness of fruit and flesh with time in the glass.

Plump and opulent, this wine’s baked-yellow-apple flavors come with enough zesty freshness to keep them firm and clean. Notes of flint and salted cream add to the wine’s mineral depths. It’s a savory Puligny that needs two or three years to fully emerge.

Mealy aroma leading in to a deep, almost chewy texture on the palate and great freshness. Powerful and piercing. Long, mouth-watering finish.
