DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION
Irish Mist is a dark amber liqueur made with Irish whiskey, honey and spices. It's been around for decades and it's one of the easiest liqueurs to like.
Expect warm honey and vanilla up front, with a lively cinnamon note that carries into the finish. The texture is creamy and syrupy, so a little goes a long way. The whiskey is there in the background, but this is sweet and smooth rather than strong-tasting.
Pour it over ice, or try it in coffee with a spoon of whipped cream on top. It's also very good in a hot toddy on a cold night, or mixed with ginger ale. A handy bottle to have around the holidays, and a nice gift for someone who likes Irish whiskey but wants something sweeter.

My mom wanted the bottle lethal I ordered but she received a different style with honey.
No, I didn't purchase Irish Mist from your store!
The orginal Irish Mist bottle was replaced with the bottle labeled Irish Mist Honey and it is the same liqour and recipe.
They can be forgiven, as I as very worried when the new bottles appeared on the neighborhood shelves. After purchasing a bottle and sampling it along with the remaining contents of the old style bottle with my neighbors, we both agreed it
was the real thing or close enough we couldn't detect a difference.
From the website:
Here, I am quoting from the website, "while the bottle has changed a number of times over the years, the liqueur itself has remained true to its origins – the recipe has not changed,"
"Irish Mist Liqueur
Irish Mist was the first liqueur to be produced in Ireland at Tullamore, County Offaly. The company history goes back to 1829 when the Tullamore Distillery was founded to produce Irish whiskey.
Irish Mist is a blend of Irish whiskey, honey and natural aromatic spices. It was the first liqueur to be produced in Ireland and, while the bottle has changed a number of times over the years, the liqueur itself has remained true to its origins – the
recipe has not changed, so you can be sure of the warming whiskey and honeyed sweetness, beautifully counter balanced by aromatic spices, that gives Irish Mist its wonderfully complex flavor and taste experience."
