• Variety: Grüner Veltliner • Region: Wagram • Vineyard: Ried Spiegel • Soil Type: Thick, chalky loess walls in combination with tertiary gravel • Fermentation & Élevage: Stainless steel Short maceration on the press, fermented in stainless steel and left on the lees until bottling in the late Summer • Farming: Respekt Certified Biodynamic\n\nRied Spiegel:\nThis is a south facing, high elevation site - up to 350 meters. The soils here are a mix of deep, chalky loess and red gravel – a sort of mix of the two soil types from Rosenberg and Stein. Made up of three separate terraces, it is the top terrace that has the red gravel which Bernhard says adds fruit and elegance to the final wine.
