Distilleria Gualco makes this grappa from Cortese, the white grape of the Gavi hills in Piedmont. It is a young grappa, from the most recent distillation season, rested in stainless steel for at least six months before bottling.
No wood means nothing gets in the way of the grape. Expect a clear spirit with a clean, floral and fruity nose, an elegant and dry palate, and a refined finish.
Serve it slightly cool in a small tulip glass after dinner, as a digestivo. It is also good in an espresso as a caffè corretto. A nice choice for anyone who enjoys Gavi or wants a lighter, cleaner style of grappa.
