IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

Wine Enthusiast 94 points - Despite the rich, buttery scent this single malt sips relatively dry. Rounded pear and sherry notes lead the palate at first, drying to leather and cigar wrapper and finishing long, with lemon zest and ginger zing. Water brings out more fruit, a tinge of violet, sprinkles of brown sugar and cinnamon sweetness, and a smoky whiff on the finish. Amazing complexity..Kara Newman, December/2017

Ultimate Beverage Challenge 93 points - Earthy and sweet grains fill the nose, with backgrounds of sea salt and butter. The creamy saltiness continue in the mouth with a buttery smooth texture. Piquant spice is tingling on the tongue as the finish develops into the flavor of fresh nuts..March/2017

The 18 Years Old is a single malt Scotch whisky of serious distinction. Once it has spent fifteen years maturing in American white oak casks approximately 30% is transferred into Spanish Oloroso casks to spend a further three years maturing. Then, when both elements have reached 18 years, we blend them back together to create a whisky with a rich bouquet and full, rounded flavour.

First Time Customer

FedEx missed their projected delivery date which forced me to re-schedule some additional time off from work, but overall at good first time experience. However, I also ordered 2 bottles of Talisker (same day). This was not in stock. No notices from Wine Chateau about not in stock or delayed shipment. I only learned about this when I called to inquire about my order (about 7 days after placing order). I was headed out of town. Thankfully was able to delay shipment... but not sure when or even if Wine Chateau would have notified me that Talisker was not in stock and order would be delayed. :-( --RogerB
